Complaints

Licensees

It is important to note that the GRAI do not have responsibility for individual customer disputes with a gambling business. Customers should escalate any disputes with the operator.

Once the relevant sections of our legislation are fully commenced the GRAI will be able to take complaints about a breach on licensee obligations. This function will be subject to gambling companies being licensed with the GRAI and we will provide further information on expected timelines for this in due course.

If you would like to contact the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland, please use the e-mail address: GRAI@justice.ie

Gambling Advertisements

The GRAI will be taking complaints about gambling advertisements but our powers in this area have not yet commenced. We will provide further information on expected timelines in due course.

If you have a complaint regarding content in a gambling advertisement at present, you can make a complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) here: Make a Complaint - Advertising Standards Authority

The ASA Code, Section 10 covers gambling related material and can be found here: Gambling - ASA Code - Advertising Standards Authority

The GRAI and ASA have entered a partnership with regards to complaints and further details can be found here
